Opportunity to Sponsor

The Ao Chalong Yacht Club is one of Asia’s premier sailing venues, and has the most active racing schedule in Asia. We encourage the participation of all sailors from beginners to experts, membership is open to everyone and we currently have 150 members.

Our 2010 racing program has just started. With a race every two weeks, we have broken this year’s schedule into Series 1 and 2. Already we have two corporate sponsors who will provide the club with support throughout the year and prizes for the overall class winners in each series.

We now require local sponsors for the individual races. This is a great opportunity to reach both the local sailing community and visiting yachtsmen. The club is a year round hub for yachting in this part of the world and is a hive of activity during the major regattas including King's Cup, Six Senses Phuket Raceweek, Multihull Championship and The Bay Regatta (formerly known as the Phang Nga Bay Regatta), when literally hundreds of sailors and their families will spend some time at our new premises on the beach in Chalong.

The sponsorship required is simple and affordable.

Every race day we provide prizes for the winners and a buffet or BBQ for all the competitors. Depending on the nature of the sponsor’s business they may wish to provide these directly. Otherwise the sponsor can contribute Baht 10,000 to the club and we will do the rest.

In return the sponsor will be entitled to bring four people sailing as guests of the club. We will also promote their business by hanging or displaying any signage they provide on the day. We will also put their logo on the club’s website for this race season i.e. until the next season starts in March 2011. A notice of race and race report is published on the website for each race, and the sponsors logo will feature prominently on both of these. Above all the club will strive to support those in the community who support us.

The club is operated by a legally constituted Thai company and is able to give official tax receipts for sponsorship monies received.
