Race Report 5 - Sunday May 9

Nap time in low wind

Low winds and... yawns highlighted the afternoon in Race 5 in the Andaman Cabriolet Series sponsored by ACYC.

With Race Officer Scott Duncanson having raised the AP up on shore, the race was delayed with the troops finally getting off at 12:30.

In Multihulls, it was The Frog and Moto Inzi, which crossed the line before Niña and Mathong with the two Fireflys leading the class and finishing first in the shortened course. Meanwhile Minx and Babe continued what is becoming a two boat rivalry in Racing with Minx victorious. The race saw Iruvai with its cast of three as the lone boat in Cruising and with that many on board and one non-drinker, how could they possibly run out of cold beer on the boat. A hasty trip to the Clubhouse... And hats off to Mathong, which, despite wind conditions unsuitable for the boat, finished the course to collect a prize in Multihull Cruising.
